We are happy to welcome cyclists, and we are now listed as a bike-friendly accommodation on the MAKETUSZ map. We recently discovered a fantastic initiative and jumped at the chance to join the network of bike-friendly providers. Not only can you book accommodation with us, but you can also rent bicycles and e-bikes.
Because the hilly Balaton Uplands are made for cycling! From every hill, you get a new panorama. In every valley, a new village awaits. Vineyards, rows of cellars, blooming fruit trees in the spring. Pink almond trees, yellow cornelian cherries, and white hawthorns at the edges of the forests. And in every bush, there’s a hidden medieval church ruin.
A thousand little discoveries and a thousand little sources of joy. The best time to come is in spring or autumn. There are fewer cars at this time, and there are no beachgoers. The shores of Lake Balaton, the beaches, are for the fishermen, those practicing yoga in the early hours, and those strolling peacefully. And of course, for cyclists 🙂
Also, for the locals on their way to work, the aunts tending to their gardens, and the uncles taking care of their tractors. The strengthening spring sun casts gleaming light, the street flower beds slowly begin to bloom, and the birds are chirping wildly.
